AP Manager
Santa Barbara Direct Hire Accounting Operations Up to 110K 05/21/2020

Job Description:

  • Train incoming staff and ensure AP manual is up-to-date
  • Prepare and review coding of Accounts Payable invoices/vouchers
  • Prepare and review payment processing
  • Review reconciliations of vendor statements to ensure accuracy
  • Audit employee expense reports
  • Manage workflow in AP automation tool and related AP inbox
  • Approve vendor set up information
  • Help administer corporate credit cards ensure timely expense reporting
  • Support SOX and audit processing, including providing audit selections
  • Process 1099s
  • Manage monthly close of AP area



  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel and ERP system skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills 
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration or related field and a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience
