Chief Financial Officer

Job Description:

  • Manage the company’s financial system
  • Help coordinate with operations staff to maintain the flow of information into the accounting process
  • Provide leadership to the company’s accounting staff
  • Develop individual goals and objectives, measure and review progress
  • Create, document and disseminate a comprehensive set of accounting policies and procedures
  • Document and maintain necessary internal controls within the financial system
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts within the department
  • Help maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local tax rules, regulations, reporting and payment requirements
  • Manage treasury functions, including the company’s line of credit
  • Assist in cash flow planning and forecasting
  • Manage relationships with the company’s bank(s) and other lenders
  • Assist in valuation, due diligence and negotiation of merger and acquisition transactions

 

Requirements:

  • MBA preferred
  • CPA license
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills 
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency while meeting deadlines

  • Strong work ethic

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field and a minimum of 15 years' relevant experience
