Construction Development Accountant

  • Help analyze potential acquisitions
  • Assist with drafting contract terms and scope with consultants and contractors
  • Assist with project timelines and ensure milestones are met
  • Prepare reports related to project status to Investments Team and other stakeholders
  • Prepare and track development budget related to assigned projects
  • Assist with securing approvals, certifications and permits from city and other government agencies
  • Responsible for completing and executing project contracts
  • Manage project documents including discretionary and non-discretionary approvals
  • Manage agency releases/declarations/determinations and construction documents
  • Manage designs for engineering plans, contract/change orders and closeout documentation
  • Help report project status to investors, lenders, joint ventures and quasi-public partnerships
  • Assist with monthly construction progress reporting like schedules and applications for payment

Requirements:

  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills 
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • A team player

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or related field and a minimum of 3 years' relevant experience
